In order to live a life of faith we need to have a vision of what we are to inherit. Abraham had a vision of the Covenant which God would establish between himself and his people. St Paul reminds the Philippians that our homeland is in heaven and that our lives on earth should reflect the faith by which we are transformed. This transformation by faith was displayed to Peter, James and John by Jesus on the mountain. By seeing a vision of the resurrection life they were inspired to live their lives on earth to the full. As Christians we look to that same heavenly vision and strive to live lives which are worthy of our calling.
