SERVICES:
Sunday 15th January (3rd in Ordinary Time)
Collect: Almighty ever-living God,
direct our actions according to your good pleasure,
that in the name of yore beloved Son
we may abound in good works.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your son,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen
First Reading was Jonah 3:1-5. Responsorial Psalm was Number 24 "Lord, make me know your ways." Second Reading was 1 Corinthians 7:29-31, and the reading from the Holy Gospel was Mark 1:14-20. The Service next Sunday (4th in Ordinary Time) will be at 9.30am. The mid-week said service (Feria) will be Thursday(29th) again at 9.30am.  
PARISH HALL:
The coffee morning will be on Tuesday (27th January) from 10.00am to 11.45am. Last weeks Tote winner was number 88. The craft class is still being held the same afternoon.
PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL:
The next meeting of the PCC is scheduled for Monday 26th January 2015 at 7.00pm.

When we list to the one who is calling us, when we hear the echo of his voice in our prayer and through scripture, we begin to know ourselves in a deeper way and begin also to find that peace which the world cannot give.
Services:
Sunday 18th January (2nd In Ordinary Time). First Reading was 1 Samuel 3:3-10. Responsorial Psalm was Number 39 "Here I am Lord! I come to do your will." Second Reading was 1 Corinthians 6:13-15, and the reading from the Holy Gospel was John 1:35-42. The Service next Sunday (3rd in Ordinary Time) will be at 9.30am. The mid-week said service (Feria) will be Thursday(22nd) again at 9.30am.  
Parish Hall:
The coffee morning will be on Tuesday (20th January) from 10.00am to 11.45am. Last weeks Tote winner was number 378. The craft class is still being held the same afternoon.
Parochial Church Council:
The next meeting of the PCC is scheduled for Monday 26th January 2015 at 7.00pm.

Pilgrimage to Walsingham:
The proposed dates are "21st to 23rd August, the cost is £125.75 pp inc full board. Father Richard needs to know as soon as possible if you are interested.

Today was the end of Christmastide and the Gospel turns to the baptism as the point from which Jesus' mission begins.By descending into the waters, Jesus identifies with a sinful and mortal humanity the people he would redeem through his death and resurrection.

Services:
Sunday 11th January (Baptism of the Lord). First Reading was Isiah 55:1-11. Responsorial Psalm was Isiah12:2-6 "With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." Second Reading was 1 John 5:1-9, and the reading from the Holy Gospel was Mark 1:7-11. The Service next Sunday (2nd in Ordinary Time) will be at 9.30am. The mid-week said service (Feria) will be on Wednesday(14th) this week, again at 9.30am.  
Parish Hall:
The coffee morning will be on Tuesday (13th January) from 10.00am to 11.45am. Last weeks Tote winner was number 366. The craft class is still being held the same afternoon.
Parochial Church Council:
The next meeting of the PCC is scheduled for Monday 26th January 2015 at 7.00pm.

The Magi came to Jesus by the guidance of a star, but we discover him by the light of faith. The one whom Herod saw as a threat is for us the one who delivers us from undue attachment to earthly values and enables us to find more lasting treasure.

Services:
Sunday 4th January (Epiphany). First Reading was Isiah 60:1-6. Responsorial Psalm was 71 "All nations shall fall prostrate before you, O Lord." Second Reading was Ephesians 3:2-3, and the reading from the Holy Gospel was Matthew 2:1-12. The Service next Sunday (The Baptism of the Lord) will be at 9.30am. There will be no mid-week service (Feria) this coming Thursday.  
Parish Hall:
The coffee morning will resume on Tuesday (6th January). Last weeks Tote winner was number 178. The craft class is still being held the same afternoon

The next meeting of the PCC is scheduled for Monday 26th January 2015 at 7.00pm.
