SERVICES:
Sunday (The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary): First Reading was Apocalypse 11:19. Responsorial Psalm was Number 44 "On you right stands the queen, in garments of gold." Second Reading was 1 Corinthians 15:20-26, and the reading from the Holy Gospel was Luke 1:39-56. The Service next Sunday is a United Benefice Mass at St Peters at 10,15am. The mid-week service (Feria) is at 9.30am on Thursday.
EARLY NOTICE - As part of the Crossroads Mission led by the northern Bishops one of the events will take place at St Andrews. This will be a United Benefice Mass on 13th September when the guest preacher will be the Bishop of Whitby.
DROP-IN SESSION:
The weekly drop-in session continues to be held in the meeting area at the back of the church between 10.00am and 11.45am every Tuesday for anyone wanting information about the church, its activities, or simply for a natter and a cup of coffee. The tote will be drawn at 11.30am, last weeks winner was number 76.
